How to Measure Piano Music Wire

The difference between the various sizes of piano wire can vary by as little as .001".  Measuring the wire to get an accurate determination on the size wire you need is crucial and requires the right tool.  Using a micrometer or caliper is the only way to properly get an accurate measurement.  The video above demostrates how to use a micrometer to measure piano wire and piano strings.  The micrometer can be purchased in our store here: Micrometer
