Regulating Hammer Blow Distance on a Vertical Piano

Ensuring that your hammer blow distance is correct is essential in getting a good regulation on your vertical piano.  This is the distance between the crown of the hammer and the string when the hammer is at rest.  The primary tool used in this process is a Stainless Steel Rule.
