Tool for removing key bushings from front rail and balance rail mortises. This tool is designed to be used with a solering iron which will accommodate a 1/4 inch shaft. We offer this type of soldering iron here in our store. It is recommended that when using the soldering iron with this tool that a temperature regulator be used to avoid burning the felt. We have a regulator available here in our store which works well with the soldering iron.
This tool is used by placing the heated tip into the key bushing which has been saturated with water to create steam which will release the glue that holds the felt in place.
